Application process
At “Joh. Berenberg, Gossler & Co. KG (“Berenberg Group”) the protection and security of your personal data are very important to us. We would therefore like to make you aware of the data protection principles that Berenberg undertakes to uphold. (See below). In order to upload your application to our application website, you will need to give your consent to our data privacy policy. 
 
Registration
Your registration requires the following details, so that a user account can be created for you:
• Username of your choice
• Password of your choice
Once you have a user account, you can register on our application website, apply for vacancies and manage your applications. 

Processing and use of your data
To process your application, we will record the required information and personal details, including your name, postal address and email address as well as details of your education and career. You also have the option of uploading specific application documents, e.g. cover letter, CV and certificates. Any details you specify and the documents you upload will be added and saved to our application website.

You agree that your data will be stored electronically by Berenberg and used throughout the Berenberg Group for the purpose of filling vacancies. This will include comparing the details in your application with the requirements of the positions that are to be filled in the Berenberg Group. Your personal details may thus be used by any of the companies in the Berenberg Group. They will also be permitted to send your details to subsidiaries in the United States.
Moreover, the operator of our application website, Oracle Corp., may access any applicants’ details for the purpose of technical maintenance.

Your access rights
You have the option of viewing and updating your personal details stored on the application website under the menu item “My Job Page”. It is your responsibility to ensure that your details are truthful and correct.

Your rights to information and rectification
Under Article 13 (2) (b) of the European General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), you are entitled to request information about the personal data we have stored about you and to request rectification or deletion of incorrect data
(if necessary). You will find the details of your representatives below.

Your rights to revoke consent and erase data
You are permitted to deactivate and/or delete your account at any time (see “My Account Options”). If you click on “Deactivate”, your active applications will also be withdrawn.

Any data collected, processed and stored in connection with your application are subject to specific deletion periods and are stored together with your name for up to six months after the application process has closed. Once the six months have passed, your account is automatically deleted. Where you have applied for several positions, the deletion period will start after the end of your last application process. 

Likewise, under Article 13 (2) (b) and (c) of the GDPR, you are entitled to object to the processing of your personal data and to withdraw your consent to the processing of your personal data. In this case, please consult us in advance, so that we can make you aware of the consequences in detail.

Your right to lodge a complaint
Under Article 13 (2) (d) of the GDPR, you are entitled to lodge a complaint at any time in connection with our implementation of and adherence to the data protection regulations. To do so, you can contact:
